Four Months!

Today Arabella is 4 months old! :D She is around 15 pounds, she loves her mommy and daddy and sister, putting EVERYTHING in her mouth, and hates being alone. :D

She just loves putting those hands in her mouth. Ha!
Hadassah really wanted to be in the pictures...

She just had to jump in...
So I put a dress on her! :D

 Those blue eyes... Wow!

It took a lot to get that smirk out of Hadassah. Ha!

Three Months!

Arabella turned THREE MONTHS OLD yesterday! :D It is going by quickly, and I'm loving every moment. She can hold up her head like a pro, and she has found her hands. The hands don't go many other places than her mouth, but she knows where they are! Here are her 3 month pictures (I forgot my 3 month sticker, so we will have to go without this month):

Just ignore my shoes.... ;] Ha!

We are starting to spend lots of time at the park. Hadassah LOVES it, she whines asks to go every single day! Here are a couple of our pictures from the park (yes, the 3 month pics were at the park!)

For anyone who doesn't know, Hadassah LOVES being a big sister... and Arabella is getting used to her sister's rough love. They hug and kiss all the time, and I absolutely love it! I had some with Arabella smiling, but I don't have them on the computer. :/ Oops!

Here are our St. Patrick's Day pictures. My cousin got their ADORABLE outfits! Thanks Justine! :D

And this is Hadassah and I hanging out and being goofy. I love this beautiful girl!

Lastly, Hadassah had a playdate with this adorable girl, Izy! They had a blast, and it was cool to see Hadassah hanging out with someone her age. Awe, they're too cute!!

Two Months!

Hello friends and family!

Well, I wasn't sure when to take pictures because Arabella was born on the 30th, and February doesn't have a 30th, so I settled for today! Mostly because today we had her well child check-up. She is a healthy, heavy little baby at 12 lbs, 13oz, and 23 inches. She is so smiley, starting to make more noise apart from her infrequent crying, and is a joy! She loves baths, sticking out her tongue, and eating. :] Technically today would be a couple of days late, but here are her pictures!

One and Sixteen Months

Hello world!

There are a few updates to be had on this post, so gear up for a lot of explanation! :D

We have internet and a computer now! This is AWESOME because that means I will be able to keep this blog up to date, rather than completing the odd post here and there every couple of months. Woo! I'm also able to blog about the ministry so if you're interested in what we do, check it out at greyhoundsandthegospel.blogspot.com

Nextly, our girls are doing great! There have been just a few hiccups in the past couples of weeks, but it seems we are all on the right track now.

Hadassah had her 15 month well-child check a couple of weeks ago and we found out she had lost a few ounces, rather than gaining like normal. So we have been super stressed out about her eating habits, trying to get her to ingest some more calories. Honestly, it makes sense to me that she hasn't gained much weight because she is a little tornado! She doesn't stop moving, so I'm sure most of her calories go toward fueling that little non-stop body of hers to keep going! Anywho, we have a weight check here in the next week or so, so we will see if any of our efforts have had any affect on her weight gain. Apparently this is pretty common with toddlers, so despite my initial worry, I'm not too worried anymore.

Arabella had her 1 month well-child check the same week as Hadassah, and we found out that she has a heart murmur. That was a little scary because I didn't know what it was... evidently it is pretty common for kiddos to have them, and most grow out of them. Of course, there is also that 1% chance that it could be something more serious, so we had to go to see a pediatric cardiologist this week. Another very nervous thing for a mama to do, but low and behold our little girl is a-ok! Apparently she might not ever be able to scuba dive, but other than that she is perfectly fine (and that might not even be the case either). Throughout this process I found out about some other people in my family and circle of friends who also have heart murmurs... and who don't have problems with it. :D In any case, we got to see an ultrasound of her heart, and it was pretty cool.

Now for pictures!

some sister nap time cuddles. :D
Hadassah practicing her writing, and a rare smile while eating!
matching outfits, and Hadassah talking with her little sister.

gosh, I am in love with this little girl's chubby cheeks.

a hug!
 family pictures!!
because we can only get Hadassah to be still...
after she runs around a bit.
And Arabella is in the wrap, so I couldn't get her higher. :] oh well!

and then we have some baby-wearing, an Arabella smile, and Hadassah chatting with her daddy. :)

The Little Lady Bulls

I forgot to say that her our newest little one is named Arabella Katherine. :)

She is now almost 3 weeks old, she is already gaining weight (she was 7lbs 9oz at 2 weeks) and eats like a boss. Hadassah loves her, and is always giving her kisses and stuff. She's a little nervous about us leaving again... But I think that will wear out this week when no one is staying with us and I'm home all day with her all the time.

We are super blessed with really good babies. Arabella only wakes once a night, and sleeps most of the day still. I'm still exhausted, but not nearly as much as I should be. When she is awake she just looks around and is a quiet little bundle of adorable. :) I don't know how we lucked out on BOTH girls being such good babies.

Your prayers are coveted as my hormones continue to adjust. I'm not good at big change, and the up and down of my hormones is really hard on me. The blues lasted a couple of months with Hadassah... But I feel like it is easier to deal with this time around, because I know it will end, having been through it once before. It helps that breastfeeding (though I hate it) is a lot easier this time. Arabella took to it without a problem and is definitely gaining weight!

I'm not sure of any other updates, but if you wanna know something, just ask! :) Love!
