The Nursery is Finally Done!

With this bookcase, the nursery is officially finished! Now to get some more storybooks to fill it up. :D hooray!

Thirty Eight Weeks!!

 

 

11 days left! And two(ish) weeks.

But she technically could come at any time.

So mostly she's just freeloading from here on out. ;]

 

Just kidding. I know that some babies take a little longer. And due dates aren't an exact science. I'm not saying she has to come now... I'm just saying it would be awesome if she naturally would come now, and be ready and everything. Because now that they've said she's ready, every little ache and pain in the contraction region has me getting really excited that this could be it! And it never is. Ever. Luckily, though, I haven't had any REAL scares. And my appointment last week was normal. The doctor literallly said "Well, we are just waiting on her from here on out!" *sigh*

 



Can you tell my impatience is winning out? I don't know how this happened, but it's still 11 days until the due date and I am just as impatient as can be! But I know that she will come out when she is ready, and that could be well past my 11 days from now. :[ As much as I'm sad about that.

I am still taking guesses. She is due on October 5th. And the calendar starts on today's date (September 24th). :] So feel free to take a guess about when she will make her debut! :D

HOW FAR ALONG?: 38 weeks...

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN?: one million pounds!! Or something. I don't really know. a lot. ha.

MATERNITY CLOTHES?: I hate clothes. I love sweats. Let's all wear sweats until she comes, yes? 

STRETCH MARKS?: itchy ones.

SLEEP?: Exactly. With a question mark. Like it doesn't happen. I'm so tired even when I DO sleep. Is caffeine one of the wive's tales about inducing labor? That might be doubly helpful to me. ;] 

BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Finishing her room. Officially. Except that I'm waiting on the most fabulous bookcase. :D Other than that, everything is washed, set up, nailed down, and super ready for her arrival!!!

WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Washing the walls. I felt so crazy. :/

MOVEMENT?: Lots and lots. Except at night. I think she's as tired as I am by then!

MISS ANYTHING?: Tummy sleeping. I'm going to sleep the heck out of my stomach when this is over! And I'm going to love it!!!! :D You don't appreciate it until it's gone...

FOOD CRAVINGS?: Spicy foods. Mmm. And guacamole.

ANYTHING MAKING ME QUEASY / SICK?: Nope.

GENDER?: a beautiful baby girl. :D

SYMPTOMS / MOODS?: A waddle and an alien belly.

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT?: Still in! Maybe it won't pop out. (Crossing my fingers cause it really freaks me out!)

WEDDING RINGS OFF or ON?: They've both been on this week. I think my salt craving last week had me a little more swollen than usual.

HAPPY or MOODY MOST OF THE TIME?: Impatient. But happy, too!

LOOKING FORWARD TO...?: Her arrival!!! :D YAY!

37 weeks!

Wowzers, y'all! Only 17 days left until the due date!!!

We are now at 37 weeks... sort of. I realized today that I have been posting a few days into my week, so technically the week is new every Saturday, so I am 37 weeks and 3 days (in case you've been doing the math on my days left and I've left you a little confused. Sorry!!) Anyway, here is the week 37 blog:



This week has been strange. My first off of work for good, and I feel busier than ever. I am finally getting some exercise and let me tell you: swimming is phenomenal!! And I mean, it is really bliss!! When God created water, he must have had pregnant ladies in mind, because it is just about the only relief possible. Ha! He is marvelous, and so I praise him every time I get to get into that pool!!

In any case, the days are really dragging. That is, in part, due to the amount of effort it takes for me to sleep, and short amounts of time sleep actually happens, and the really really big, growing belly I'm dragging around now-a-days. All in all, I am getting tired. And she isn't.

I went to my appointment last Wednesday (I'm now going every week), and the doctor/midwife (I'm not sure which she is, but she is AMAZING) was telling me how everyone told her that her babies would slow down at around 37 weeks, and then they never did. Which was an incredible relief to me because my baby is NOT. And I don't know how she can shift and turn and wiggle so much, but it feels non-stop (though luckily that's not what keeps me up nights, no, that would be the incredible back aches I get because she is so darn heavy... on the plus side she seems to sleep when I sleep. And exercise when I exercise, and for hours thereafter.)

Prayers are appreciated for my patience. I am weary, but I still want her to come when it is most safe for her to come!! Even if it means she is late. :/ hah.

HOW FAR ALONG?: 37 weeks...

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN?: I think it was 38 pounds. :[ ha.

MATERNITY CLOTHES?: maternity clothes are so tricky. Because even those are being outgrown. To be honest, these jeans were the best idea, because the elastic isn't too tight, and it stretches WAY up. Truly a blessing, because none of my shirts fully cover the belly anymore, and the dresses are getting really short. :/

STRETCH MARKS?: Still about the same.

SLEEP?: Meh, see above.

BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Other people besides Jonathan and I seeing her move. Hah.

WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Not sleeping...

MOVEMENT?: Again, see above. Ha.

MISS ANYTHING?: Sleeping on my stomach!

FOOD CRAVINGS?: salty things, and chocolate.

ANYTHING MAKING ME QUEASY / SICK?: Not really.

GENDER?: a beautiful baby girl. :D

SYMPTOMS / MOODS?: A waddle and an alien belly.

Thirty six weeks!

Welcome to 36 weeks, with 4 weeks left!

I didn't add any fancy stuff to my picture this week because my version of Paint is being weird. :] Sorry!
But we are at 36 weeks, with only 4 weeks to go (25 days!) till the due date. YIKES! We are close!
I'm getting a lot more strangers asking when I'm due. And it seems like she is growing a lot, because my belly is growing a lot. Ha!

I had my last baby shower this weekend, and the ladies really blessed me! :D I now have everything that I need!! Baby monitor and all. I've also been given this week off of work, and it was my last week, so I'm getting to swim and prepare the room a week earlier than I anticipated!

I finally got around to adding my lantern thing above her bed:

It took all morning! And afterward I felt like I got nothing done all day long. But at least now it's done!
The lighting was all weird in the room, too. But it looks really cool in real life. :] So I'm happy with it!

MATERNITY CLOTHES?: Starting to get a lot bigger, so even the maternity clothes are weird fitting sometimes.
STRETCH MARKS?: all around the belly.
SLEEP?: Back to sleeping well. :]
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: My baby shower was a lot of fun! And swimming. Swimming was AMAZING!!! :D
WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Getting out of the pool. I don't think I realized how very heavy i was until the water wasn't supporting me anymore.
MOVEMENT?: all the time. It seems like it really never stops.
MISS ANYTHING?: Sleeping on my stomach!
FOOD CRAVINGS?: Nothing this week.
ANYTHING MAKING ME QUEASY / SICK?: Just getting up in the morning... and not having eggs in the morning. Hah.
GENDER?: a beautiful baby girl. :D
SYMPTOMS / MOODS?: Same as last week, swollen ankles, big belly, the waddle, and being very aware of where the bathroom is at all times.
BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT?: Still in! Maybe it won't pop out. (Crossing my fingers cause it really freaks me out!)
WEDDING RINGS OFF or ON?: On today, but off the past two days. It seems to fluxuate.
HAPPY or MOODY MOST OF THE TIME?: Happy! :D
LOOKING FORWARD TO...?: Her being here!

Thirty-5 weeks!

35 weeks!

And that seems like it is so close, and 5 weeks doesn't seem very long... But I'm getting bigger and less comfortable, and more impatient as the days go by. :/ that being said, prayers are appreciated! Haha.

Only 5 weeks or 30 days till she is due!

 

 

My parents came to bring all of the big gifts from my previous showers this weekend. So now we have a crib! Hooray! It's gorgeous, and the bedding is too cute, matches perfectly, and came with a window vallance that matches perfectly. :) I'm pretty excited!

It was also just really nice to see my parents and spend time with them, even if I was completely wiped out after they left! :D <br/>
