Baby Showers... Baby showerrrzzz...

Officially, we are back to the 18th and 19th for my Albuquerque showers. You will get two invitations to two different showers. :] Just choose one! Or come to both? You know, whatever. I love to see everyone, especially since I'm hardly ever in Albuquerque, so if you want to come to both, I would love to see you. :]

As for Portales, September 8th! Mark your calendars and give me your addresses, or at least tell me you want to go!

If you would like to come (even if we haven't seen each other in a long time and you think--"no, that would be weird to say I want to come"--there's no weird! I would love to see you!) PLEASE let me know. Even if I have your address. And if I might not have your address (especially if I've asked you before, probably more than once, because I constantly lose it) please send it to me. AND even if I see you often, and I could just deliver it to you, because I don't know who IS throwing it, and they might NOT see you often. :D

102 days left! i.e. 25 weeks along!

Hello and welcome to my 25th week!

That is correct, 15 weeks left! OR 102 days left!! :D 

It is getting closer and closer every day!!

We didn't get ANYTHING done this weekend regarding the baby's room. But the painting is DONE. Now there's just deep cleaning to do. And replacing some doorknobs, and moving some furniture. *sigh*

The Alb. baby shower plans are sorta on hold. We are looking for an ideal date--when I don't drive alone, since I will be sorta far along. I will update, I promise! In the meantime, please continue to let me know your addresses if you want to be included. AND, if you want to come to my pending one in Portales... you might as well send me a preemptive update of your address/info too... so I know it in the near future. 

HOW FAR ALONG?: 25 weeks!
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN?: just about 18 pounds.
MATERNITY CLOTHES?: Of course! I'm on the lookout for casual dresses with not so low cut tops. :] In case anyone sees one/some, let me know! It's so hot!!!
STRETCH MARKS?: a few around my belly button that are getting darker!
SLEEP?: Like a rock.
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: The loving affection of my amazing husband, and his excitement, worry and general care for our baby girl.
WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Just being so busy. I was exhausted this weekend.
MOVEMENT?: Little bumps and thumps. :]
FOOD CRAVINGS?: Nothing lately.
ANYTHING MAKING ME QUEASY / SICK?: Nope!
GENDER?: a beautiful baby girl. :D
SYMPTOMS / MOODS?: Growing belly. Lower back pain, as she's starting to gain some real weight.
BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT?: Still in, but it's definitely stretching.
WEDDING RINGS OFF or ON?: On.
HAPPY or MOODY MOST OF THE TIME?: Happy. :D
LOOKING FORWARD TO...?: I don't have any specific thing. Just another week down at the end of this one!

The appointment went well! Apparently I won't find out if I have gestational diabetes for a few days. (It's a routine test, so there's no concern, especially since I feel fine! :D )

BUT... she was moving! And here is her pretty face:

It's a little alien babyish... but not as bad as the other pictures (which, incidentally are a little creepy)! haha. That placenta in front really makes it hard to see her, so it's a lot more blurry than other pictures people get. Oh well! Jonathan and I are still super excited to see her, blurry or not! :D :D hah.

Oh! And we have an official date for two baby showers in Alb. They shall be sometime in August/September (tentatively-- I need to double check my husband's schedule. I can't travel alone!). For those of you in my current city, I will have one here too! Don't fret (especially since that's move in day! Yikes!)! But for those of you in Alb, please send me your address (via text, email, facebook, whatever!) if you would like an invite! THAT way where to send it to you!

Twenty-four weeks!

16 weeks left!

or 109 days left!

This weekend was father's day. So I took two pictures:

I figured the father should be in the Father's day picture. :D I love that guy. Haha. 

We got more the of the room done. It's nearly there. Maybe a few small touch-ups needed. But this is the general look of the walls that aren't the striped wall. I will add more pictures as we finish and start moving all of the furniture from out of the way (there's a mass of furniture on the middle of the room) so that the window trim, door trim, etc. can be seen with the whole room. :D

I'm so glad this project is almost over. I feel like it's taken forever, but it's only really taken two weekends. Ha! 

HOW FAR ALONG?: 24 weeks!
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN?: Somewhere around 15 to 20 lbs, i think.
MATERNITY CLOTHES?: Yep.
STRETCH MARKS?: Just a few around the belly button.
SLEEP?: I'm not having any trouble with it.
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Watching a newborn how-to video with Jonathan. It got me so excited!
WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Saturday when I had SO MUCH to do, and no drive to do it.
MISS ANYTHING?: Dr. Pepper.
MOVEMENT?: Small movements, but they are there.
FOOD CRAVINGS?: Taco soup, baked potatoes, pasta salad from Saggio's (if anyone in Albuquerque would like to bring this up to me, that would be great ;] hah!) and an iced white chocolate mocha from Mark's that I haven't gotten yet...
ANYTHING MAKING ME QUEASY / SICK?: Nope! :]

114 days left to go!

So, I've been slowly doing registries... and today my Target registry tells me "114 days to go". And I'm like "whaaaaat?"

Why does 114 days seem like not very many days and the 17 weeks I have left seem like a lifetime.
I guess 3 1/2 months doesn't seem very long either.

Yikes!!! I feel completely unprepared!! I haven't looked at the hospital, I haven't deep cleaned my house... I need more time! Or more energy and less work. Or a list of things I need to do instead of feeling like I'm super unprepared because I'm not really sure what I need to do. Haha.

So, my mini heart attack ended with Jonathan telling me the other day "Erin, that's FOREVER. It's been FOREVER since we found out. I just want the baby here NOW!" Which made me all smiles. :D

I love him. :D

Anyway, I'm really excited to get my face ultrasound next Wednesday! I didn't realize it was already so close, but now I'm super pumped! And she seems to be moving around a lot normally, so maybe she won't be asleep next time I go in.

Week 23!

Welcome to week 23! :D

We began the process of painting the room this weekend. Pink, white and grey. I figured the grey went well with the elephant theme I wanted for the room. And our friends Josh and Rachelle got us this AWESOME table with an elephant as the bottom. It's great!! I will probably paint it to match. How exciting!! :D
Here is the picture of what we got done on Saturday:

That's just one wall. AND it's an accent wall. It was wood panelling, so we didn't have to line out all of the stripes, but it still took ALL DAY to paint. Blegh. Well worth it though, it's super cute! The other walls will be top half white, bottom half grey (which will be chalkboard paint :D), and a pink stripe between the two. We got the white tops almost done, but ran out of paint on a second coat for only a small part of the wall. We'll do the grey next weekend. :]

ALSO! This week we finally felt the baby!! :D :D Jonathan and I were reading out load, and I felt this little nudge just below my belly button, so I tossed and turned a little and then put my hand there for a bit and felt it again! I did it again for Jonathan and he felt her too!! :] it was all very exciting. HOORAY! She's really real!

And, I took a picture this week. Tah-dah!

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN?: Unknown. :]
MATERNITY CLOTHES?: Yep! Nothing else fits now, without showing the belly.
STRETCH MARKS?: Just a few around the belly button.
SLEEP?: A lot better, actually. But I think as she gets bigger, it's going to get more uncomfortable.
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Feeling my little girl nudge for the first time! FINALLY! Jonathan even got to feel!! :D
WORST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: Oh, the soreness from painting her room all day. Ahhh.
MISS ANYTHING?: Nope!
MOVEMENT?: Little nudges, here and there.
FOOD CRAVINGS?: Ceasar salad, cheese pizza. I have a craving for a reeses sonic blast, but only once.

BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK?: I was able to go see my bff get married. :] THAT was awesome. Also, got the cutest bassinet from my uncle and aunt. Love!
